Mansfield's MP Steve Yemm took to social media to publicise a letter to the Cheif Executive of Nottinghamshire County Council, signed by all Nottinghamshire Labour MPs. The letter requests an urgent meeting to discuss the state of Nottinghamshire's roads.

However, the Reform UK Ashfield MP Lee Anderson countered with a post of his own, saying the following:

"Attention Steve Yemm MP - Roads."

"I am calling you out seeing as you have blocked me on FB (Facebook) for no apparent reason."

"1. I have agreed to sign the joint letter to Nottinghamshire County Council about the state of our roads but you have failed to put my name on the letter you have published on Facebook."

"2. You told a constituent of mine just yesterday (screen shot attached) that yesterday was the first time you'd had any correspondence on the matter from me."

"This is not true."

"I offered to debate you on Radio Mansfield about the state of our roads 10 days ago. You were contacted by the station to offer you the chance to debate me live on air."

"Radio Mansfield tell me that you said you were very busy for the time being."

"Finally I am more than happy to work with anyone to help fix our roads but please don't try and be clever with your attempt to play politics on the matter."

"I look forward to debating you in public on this or any other matter."

Steve Yemm MP later posted the letter again with Lee Anderson and Robert Jenrick's names included in the signatories. He has not responded to the request for a debate.
