The Reform UK Member of Parliament for Ashfield, Lee Anderson, has called on the Government to introduce new legislation to close the legal loopholes around out of area taxi driver’s licencing. He has also submitted Freedom of Information requests (FOI) to a number of local authorities seeking information on taxi driver license holders that did not provide an enhanced DBS Certificate.

The Government has announced that they will be launching a full national inquiry in England and Wales into rape gangs. It follows a vote that took place in January of this year, where local Members of Parliament voted against a national inquiry.

Reform UK made history in the Nottinghamshire County Council elections on 1st May by winning all seven Ashfield seats. This impressive victory unseated the Ashfield Independents from every seat, marking a pivotal change in local politics. As a result of this election, Reform UK has taken control of Nottinghamshire County Council, securing 40 out of 66 total seats.
