The new Reform UK Kirkby South County Councillor, Rory Green, has smashed the record for the most potholes reported by a County Councillor in a year since 2018, and he did it in just one week.

The previous record was a measly 3 pothole reports in a year, held by the previous Ashfield Independent Councillors.

An FOI revealed that the previous Ashfield Independent Councillors on average reported less than 3 potholes each per year.

The record break signals a breakaway from the previous attitudes from politicians towards our roads. Here in Ashfield, residents have been subjected to lie after lie from Ashfield Independent Councillors, making promises about our roads that they had no intention of keeping.

Nevertheless, our new Reform UK Councillors are ending the era of deception, and are taking this issue seriously. Our roads are a disgrace, and our new Reform Group at Nottinghamshire County Council will be doing all they can to ensure that they are fixed.

At the moment, our Councillors are busy reviewing the books of Council expenditure, identifying areas where public money is wasted, and which areas, such as highways, needs more investment.

Despite this, our Councillors are still finding time to spend time banging their drums for Ashfield, meeting residents, visiting businesses, and reporting potholes.
