I will always act as a mouthpiece for the people of Ashfield. If they are saying the Prime Minister is a liar, then so will I.

Lee Anderson was thrown out of the House of Commons by Speaker Lindsay Hoyle for calling Keir Starmer a liar and refusing to retract his statement.

There was a lot of drama in the House of Commons last week. The Peter Mandelson scandal has come full circle once again as yet more shameful information relating to his appointment as US ambassador has come to light.

Now, it is my job as the Member of Parliament for Ashfield to relay the thoughts and opinions of the residents that I represent in the House of Commons, without fear or favour. If that means that I had to be thrown out of the House of Commons for the day then so be it, I have still done my job to say what my residents are thinking.

And I agree with them. I think Keir Starmer is a serial liar. A case can certainly be made to show on a balance of probabilities that he has lied about what he knew about Mandelson, his appointment as US ambassador, and his failed vetting status.

It's not conceivable that despite this scandal having been in the public eye for over six months, that as Prime Minister, everyone seemingly knew Mandelson had failed vetting except him.

Nonetheless, let's not forget that this is very far from the first time the Prime Minister has lied to the public, not just in this case, but across his entire reign as Prime Minister.

How many promises did Starmer make in the 2024 General Election manifesto, that have now been broken? He promised not to raise taxes on working people, that quickly turned out to be a lie. Over 50 taxes have been raised since July 2024 and counting.

To justify his tax rises, Keir Starmer along with Rachel Reeves insisted that there was a £30bn black hole in public finances. Starmer co-wrote the Budget and therefore must have been aware, as she was, that there was actually a £4.2bn surplus. So, they lied to justify breaking a promise.

Keir proclaimed that his Government would 'smash the gangs', referring to the small boat crossings. Now we are several years into Starmer's Britain, and yet we are still breaking records for the numbers of illegal migrants crossing the English channel.

Starmer and his Government have consistently lied to us on a multitude of issues. So ironically, it must be the case that it was also a lie when he said he would restore honesty and integrity to Government.

So what conclusion is anyone supposed to draw other than one that describes the Prime Minister as a liar? My constituents are correct, Keir Starmer is a liar, and demonstrably so.

And I will never apologise for saying what my constituents are thinking.

I knew I would be kicked out of the House of Commons for calling him a liar, but somebody certainly had to say it, because if we are not representing our constituents then what are we doing in there at all?
