The Member of Parliament for Ashfield, Lee Anderson, has laid wreaths at the cenotaph in Whitehall, London that were made by school children of Ashfield.

Lee Anderson recently wrote to all Primary Schools in Ashfield inviting them to let their students create a poppy wreath for Armistice Day, to be laid at the cenotaph in Whitehall in London.

Croft Primary School in Sutton-in-Ashfield, as well as Abbey Hill, Morven Park, and Kingsway Primary Schools in Kirkby in Ashfield, all took part and made a wreath each. Ashfield's MP Lee Anderson laid them at the cenotaph on Armistice Day to show Ashfield's respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Lee Anderson MP said:

"I feel so proud of our local school children for making these wreaths and it was a honour to lay them at the Cenotaph on behalf of the whole of Ashfield."
