The excitement in the room was unmistakable as we gathered for the first full Nottinghamshire County Council meeting since Reform UK stepped into leadership following the local elections on May 1st. This gathering signified a new direction for the council.

The meeting took place at the new Oak House venue, the new home of Nottinghamshire County Council in recent months due to the decisions taken by the previous Conservative administration on the Council.

Under the guidance of the Reform UK administration, we are working diligently to address the concerns of the people. Our first step includes a meticulous review of council finances. By identifying wasteful areas, we aim to provide a clearer picture of public expenditure. This newfound focus will facilitate significant savings, enabling us to reinvest in essential services that people need and care about.

Our team is composed of a wide range of professionals, including local business owners, healthcare specialists, legal advisors, military veterans, mental health advocates, and more. This diverse expertise is invaluable when it comes to making well-rounded decisions. We take pride in collaborating with such a talented group committed to ensuring that our county thrives.

Reflecting on our first meeting under the Reform UK administration, we remain committed to ensuring that every decision about public expenditure is made in the best interest of Nottinghamshire’s residents. Together, we have the potential to create a brighter future for our community, making each step of this journey meaningful and impactful. We look forward to navigating the challenges and celebrating the achievements that lie ahead, hand in hand with you, the people of Nottinghamshire.
