Police provide update on crime on Sutton Lawn
The first visit of the day this morning was to Sutton Lawn with Chief Inspector Ed Cook of Nottinghamshire Police to discuss recent incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour on the park.
Inspector Cook advised me that they are doing extra work on Sutton Lawn as well as on Portland Square with covert and overt patrols.
This week they arrested three individuals with class A drugs, as well as a breach of restraining order on another individual.
They are also cracking down on illegal e-bikes and off-road bikes on Sutton Lawn as well as other hotspots in Ashfield such as in Coxmoor and Harlow Wood.
To that end they are encouraging everyone to report all incidents by calling 101 or by reporting anonymously through crime stoppers so that the police can act.
In an emergency, always call 999.
