Reform UK have confirmed that their new team which has been modelled on Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that was set up in the White House, will soon be arriving in Nottinghamshire to identify wasteful spending in the County Council, and to make recommendations on how tax payers' money can be saved.

The DOGE team, now led by former chairman Zia Yusuf, is made up of software engineers, data analysts, and forensic auditors who will visit and analyse every Reform UK-controlled council, including Nottinghamshire County Council.
The taskforce will identify wasteful spending, increasing transparency and ensuring taxpayer money is spent solely on activity that benefits local people.
The DOGE team are currently working at Kent County Council and officials working in the unit so far have included millionaire Reform-backer Aaron Banks, tech entrepreneur Nathaniel Fried. The current plan is for the team currently auditing Kent to be the same team sent around the country.
